Halloween postponed
DUE to forecasts of heavy winds, the Mijas Council decided that it would have to postpone all of its Halloween events which were due to take place on October 31 and they will now transfer to Saturday November 6 with food trucks and passage of terror returning.
Adolescence
THE University of Malaga and Benalmadena Council will host the IV Conference on Adolescence, during the month of November with the holding of forty workshops and informative talks aimed at raising awareness and training on the latest advances related to education for youth.
Not erotic
UNFORTUNATELY, due to the fact that there have been insufficient bars and restaurants registering to take part in the Fuengirola Erotic Ruta de Tapas which was supposed to run from November 5 to 21, the Council has had to reluctantly cancel the event.
Glass art
ESTEPONA Council is carrying out the restoration of the stained-glass window that covers the central patio of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, which is to become an exhibition space in the historic town centre. The individual pieces are being removed for treatment.
Sex Kitten
Brigitte Bardot – ‘Myth and Clichés in Malaga’ exhibition arrives in Torremolinos with 50 photographs by an unknown taken in 1957.
The ‘Sex Kitten’ as she was known spent some time in Malaga Province during the filming of the movie Les Bijoutiers du Claire de Lune (also known by the title The Night Heaven Fell) directed by her than partner Roger Vadim.
Torremolinos, which she described as “the Spanish Saint Tropez”, Alhaurín El Grande, Mijas and Almeria are some of the settings where these images were taken and the 50 black and white images may be viewed at the Torremolinos Town Hall exhibition space from now until January 7, 2022.
