The bicycle owner reported that he went away for a few days, and when he got back discovered that someone had got up onto the balcony to his second-floor home where they kept the bike and nicked it.
Police went with the theory that the individual who’d stolen it did so to make some money and focused the investigation on a search through the main second-hand sales internet portals.
Sure enough they found the missing bike up for sale.
Officers identified arrested the 30-year old suspect when he was riding the stolen bicycle.
According to the police he has a criminal record.
