THE beaches of Velez-Malaga achieve the distinctive ‘Safe Andalucia’. This was announced by the Councillor for Beaches of Velez-Malaga, Jesús Pérez Atencia.
Atencia indicated that “the beaches of Chilches, Benajarafe, Valle-Niza, Almayate, Torre del Mar, Caleta de Velez, Mezquitilla and Lagos have a new distinction granted by the Andalucian Government.”
He added, “this ratifies the work we have been doing from the delegation so that our beaches can be made available to users with the maximum guarantees thanks to the Contingency Plan that we follow during this summer campaign of the so-called new normal”.
This new certification “states that we comply with the security and health protection measures contained in the Guía Práctica de Recomendaciones aimed at the tourism sector… and the agreement to adhere to them during the validity of the badge, until June 9, 2021,” informed Atencia.
Previously, the beaches were the first, at the national level, to obtain the ‘Safe Tourism Certified’ seal awarded by the Institute of Spanish Tourist Quality.
