Nerja cultural centre programme

The Centre has released its programme for the first quarter of 2022, which will offer a music, dance and theatre. Announcing the programme Councillor for Culture, Gema Laguna said: “We present it with the intention that it is to everyone’s liking.”
The music programme begins with ex ABBA backing band member, Swedish saxophonist Johan Sengard who is followed by the famous jazz group Ytre Soluen who return with the American singer Tricia Boutté. In March, Finnish clarinetist Antti Sarpilla returns as the guest star of the jazz group The Farataos.
Blues is up next with the 80’s legends the Vargas Blues Band. T and Big Band and the Ramirez brothers, members of another of the legendary 80s, Tabletom.
There is also a wide variety of classical music on the programme including classic guitar, tenors, poetry, piano recitals and orchestras. Finishing up the classical programme are the traditional spring galas of the Municipal School of Music and Dance.
Finally on the theatre front there is a mix of Spanish and international shows including the Caramala Company with Noemí Ruiz of Nerja the theatre circus version of La Casa de Bernarda.
