RINCON DE LA VICTORIA Council has announced it will be giving more than €100,000 in grants to charities.


The charities chosen by Rincon de la Victoria council for the funding all offer services to local residents.
The funding includes €30,000 for transport for the disabled at the AMIRAX Day Center, €15,000 for ASALBEZ Alzheimer´s association for help and maintenance of non-pharmacological therapies, €30,000 for Cudeca for home care and for terminally ill patients, and €35,000 for vocational retraining projects for the long-term unemployed and an initiative for women.
Councillor Elena Aguilarsaid: “We maintain our commitment to the groups and associations of this municipality that contribute to the well-being of our residents by improving or continuing the programmes they carry out throughout the year.”
The AMIRAX group, set up in 1992, works to care for people with intellectual disabilities or at risk of suffering from it, while the ASALBEZ Alzheimer´s association has been working in Rincon de la Victoria since 2003 to provide workshops for those with the disease.
The non-profit Foundation, Cudea, cares for patients with cancer and other diseases in advanced and terminal stages at the patient’s own home in the municipality of Rincon de la Victoria totally free. The grant of 30,000 euros will go to support this assistance in looking after patients in Malaga.
