NERJA Governing Board has awarded the urbanisation works of the plot of the new Health Centre.

The Governing Board adopted yesterday morning, August 30, an agreement awarding the urbanisation works of the plot located in the SG-CE-2 sector of the PGOU, where the construction of the new Health Centre has been projected.
Nerja company Transportes Antelo SL, for an amount of 834,215.50 euros according to the proposal made by the contracting table, obtained the highest score in the assessment of the award criteria out of the eleven companies presented.
“The execution of these important urbanisation works will allow to equip the plot of 3,700 square metres in the surroundings of the Chillar river, with all the services and infrastructures necessary for the construction of the new sanitary equipment that will be executed and financed by the Andalucian Health Service.
“Once the contract is signed with the winning company, the works will begin”, underlined the mayor of Nerja, Jose Alberto Armijo.
Among the actions planned in the project, which has an execution period of 6 months, the existing roundabout between Puente Viejo and Ingenio streets will be expanded and remodelled, a new road network will be built on the perimeter of the plot and also a parking area.
It also includes the considerations made by the General Sub-Directorate for Management of the Public Hydraulic Domain and Water Quality of the Junta de Andalucia, collected in the report that recognises the non-floodable nature of the plot.
This project is part of the Extraordinary Municipal Plan of Infrastructures and Equipment for the Promotion of Local Employment 20/21, included in the Municipal Shock Plan in the face of the coronavirus crisis, approved by the Popular Party, Citizens, Adelante and Vox, with the abstention of the PSOE.
