Andalucia has started vaccination appointments for school children between the ages of 12 to 16.
The Andalucian vice president, Juan Marín, announced out that the objective for handing out the appointments is “to return to classes on September 15 with everyone vaccinated and minimising the risks of contagion”.

“Andalucia will have collective immunity by the beginning of September because at the end of August all young people between 12 and 16 years old will be vaccinated,” said the vice president confidently.

“Despite the fact that there are fewer vaccines, the rate of vaccination, especially in the population Diana, now that they are the youngest between 16 and 29 years old, is being carried out quite quickly because everything that comes in is being used,” he said, statements he made to journalists during his visit to Jerez de la Frontera for the signing of an agreement for the international dissemination of Andalucian equestrian art.

“The safe thing is to return to classes on September 15 with everyone vaccinated and minimizing the risks of contagion,” he said.

Marín also explained that workers in nursing homes “are going to be required to have CRP or to have the vaccine in place (everyone fully vaccinated) because it is necessary to protect the elderly.”

When asked about the need for a possible third dose of the Pfizer vaccine, Marín explained that “it is not known what will happen and it is still pending, in Spain, we will wait for the WHO and the European Medicines Agency to indicate whether we should do it or not and, even if it had to be done, it would be done next year. ”
