The Lake of the Maria Zambrano in Velez Receives A Brand New Revamp.
 
Jesús Pérez Atencia, the first deputy mayor of Velez-Malaga, and Antonio Ariza, the councillor for the environment, paid a visit to the Mara Zambrano park in Velez-Malaga on Wednesday morning to inspect work on remodeling and improving the lake’s surrounding fencing.
The first deputy mayor of the municipality, Jesús Pérez Atencia, said, “we are in the Maria Zambrano park, where we present a new improvement for this green lung of our municipality. This is a complete renovation of the entire perimeter fencing of the park’s lake, which will improve safety, aesthetics and equipment”.
Pérez Atencia stressed that “since the arrival of my colleague Antonio Ariza to the Department of the Environment, we have worked to improve all the green areas of the municipality. The María Zambrano park, which was a pending issue, has undergone a major transformation in recent years. Our intention is to transform all the green areas in order to make them more friendly and accessible to people”.
Antonio Ariza, the councillor for the environment, stated that “Due to the advanced stage of deterioration of the double twisted fence, it was replaced with a more resistant one in line with the surroundings of this magnificent lake.
The new fencing has a length of two hundred and twenty linear metres of railings at a height of one and a half metres, with a five millimeter strong electro-welded mesh panel in a one hundred and fifty by fifty metre grid, composed of galvanised elements and painted in green paint”.
Ariza indicated that, “additionally to the building of a new lake entrance gate constructed of the same materials.
We have improved the lake’s image for our neighbors and anyone who visit it by making this change “‘.
Finally, the councillor noted that “activities like these demonstrate the government team’s dedication to improving our parks for the benefit of all.”
