PORTUGAL’S PM Joins Spanish And French Leaders Having To Isolate after having Lunch with President Macron

António Costa, Portugal’s prime minister, today (Thursday), had to cancel his immediate agenda and go into self-isolation, following the news that President Macron had tested positive for Covid-19, with Costa only this Wednesday having had lunch with Macron, although it is highly unlikely that he would show symptoms at this early stage, but the virus could be incubating in his system, so he is doing it as a precaution.

Mr Costa joins the other European leaders who have had to go into self-isolation in the last few days, with President Macron of France, Spain’s prime minister Pedro Sanchez, and Luxembourg PM Xavier Bettel, who is also self-isolating as a precaution.
