LIDL opens a new store in Palma de Mallorca on Thursday, November 26, on the Military highway on Avda. De América, Exit 12 Carretera Palma Llucmajor and creates 40 new jobs in the process.

22 of these new employees will join the new store, where a total of 40 people will work, with the rest reinforcing other nearby stores in the Balearic Islands, of which there are 24, 19 of them in Mallorca, employing around 550 workers.

A total investment of €5.3 million was made available for its construction and equipment, which also includes a public playground made with an eco-sustainable landscaping project adapted to all abilities.

The supermarket chain entrusted several companies in the area to execute the project as it looks to continue to generate jobs and encourage growth within the local economy.

The store will have 125 parking spaces distributed between surface and underground parking and will be open Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 9.30 pm.

It has all the hygiene and safety measures that Lidl has put in place since the beginning of the health crisis, and which have recently been endorsed with the Aenor certification.
