Why wait for 2021?

AS we draw closer to the end of what has been a year filled with uncertainty, one thing we all know for sure is that Brexit is happening if nothing else.

The UK left the EU at the end of January with a transition period running until December 31, 2020.

During this transition period, EU rights and freedoms are unchanged, meaning British Nationals can continue to take up residency as EU residents.

According to the withdrawal agreement, UK nationals settled on lawfully residing in Spain before the end of the transition period will continue to be considered legal residents and keep rights they have had as a member of the EU.

Since the beginning of Brexit talks, the UK and Spanish Government have made it clear that the first step all Brits must take is registering as an EU resident living in Spain. To obtain your residency there are a number of requirements.

Golden Leaves can help you with a big chunk of the checklist, they’re English speaking and their policies and plans are all approved for the residency application, and are more than competitive in price.

The team of experts at Golden Leaves will help navigate you through the process and can help with making appointments along with being a leading provider in both health care and funeral plans for ex-pats here in sunny Spain.

The best thing about Golden Leaves and the funeral plans and insurance policies they offer is that should you decide to return back home to the UK, a quick call can have you plans and policies transferred with you back home to Blighty.

For the whole of November, they are offering €150 off all pre-paid funeral plans to help you get the ball rolling before the clock strikes midnight on December 31.

Booking your holiday, changing energy provider or upgrading your car, these things can all wait for 2021, however, your paperwork really can’t, not if you want to continue to reside in Spain anyway.
