Courageous Golden Retriever Searches 2 Weeks For Her Owners

THE COURAGEOUS Golden Retriever gained injuries along the way and spent 2 weeks searching for her owners and walked over 60 miles.

The courageous Golden Retriever named Ping An was found injured and was rescued by kind strangers in Qidong city. The rescuers then set about sharing photos of Ping An on WeChat, a social media app that is used in China. Ping An had searched 2 weeks for her owners after wandering off from the house of the owners’ friend, that were looking after her.

Ping An had been staying away from home during home renovations and was over 2 hours away from where she lives, when she set out on her journey. Her family were distraught to hear that she had wandered off, especially after having stayed with the friends for around 4 months.

Jianghai Evening News reported that when the Golden Retriever was found in Quidong city she had “lost a lot of weight and had injuries to her paws”. The rescuers that found her said that Ping An was ‘quite depressed after she was unable to find her owners’. In the 2 weeks searching for her owners, she had covered an amazing 62 miles.

Thanks to the efforts of the rescuers and social media Ping An’s family was found and they have been reunited. The family have promised that Ping An will be staying safe at home with them in the future.
