ALBOX will receive an annual €400,000 to cover expenses generated by the Almanzora-Levante-Los Velez Consortium’s rubbish treatment plant located there.
The consortium’s General Meeting approved new statutes which included compensating the municipality that houses the plant. They also specified that this would cease should the plant close or the town impose “some type of tax.”
Welcoming the good news, Albox mayor Francisco Torrecillas pointed out that the payment was the result of three years of negotiations.
