Jeremy Corbyn has been suspended by Labour party

Jeremy Corbyn has been suspended by the Labour party following his refusal to apologise over anti-Semitism allegations.

On Thursday, October 29 the Equality and Human Rights Commission found that there were three separate breaches of the law – for members harassing Jewish members, Mr Corbyn’s team stepping in and interfering with complaints of anti-Semitic bullying, and the party failing to provide training to deal with those complaints.

However, responding to the findings, Mr Corbyn said that he didn’t “accept all of the reports findings”.

He refused to apologise and said instead: “The scale of the problem was also dramatically overstated for political reasons by our opponents inside and outside the party, as well as by much of the media.”

Hours later, Corbyn, who has led the party for more than four years, was suspended by the Labour.

In a press conference on Thursday morning, new leader Sir Keir Starmer said anyone who claimed anti-Semitism was “exaggerated” was a “part of the problem” and had no place in the party.
