IMPROVED RATIOS: Education councillor Pedro Peña confirmed that Adra schools have 14 new teachers Photo credit: Adra town hall

ADRA’S six Infants and Primary state schools have 14 more teachers.
Education councillor Pedro Peña explained that these additions would improve the ratios in the classes with most pupils.
The councillor also pointed out that despite the PSOE opposition party’s claims that the town hall had allocated only seven new teachers to Adra’s schools, there were double that number.
He explained that two schools had not received extra teachers because their classes already had fewer than 20 pupils.
