New York for Christmas could now be a reality

New York for Christmas or San Francisco for New Year are all now potentially an option under new travel corridor considerations in the US.

New travel corridors between US and UK are in the planning and expect to be in place in time for the holiday season.

US representatives have identified that they believe it is feasible to “’open a ‘travel corridor’ between New York and London in time for the holidays thanks to improved testing”

They are hopeful that this will assist the ailing travel industry and ensure a return to some semblance of normality.

On Saturday, the Wall street Journal reported that the availability of new high-speed COVID-19 testing meant that accurate airport testing was now a distinct possibility and meant that US authorities now had the opportunity to review the current restrictions in place on travel to certain areas of the globe.

The UK is not the only destination being considered as one of their international travel corridor however, should the planning go ahead, it will be vital that all passengers leaving or entering the US will be subject to COVID-19 testing which will enable them to bypass the current quarantine measures entirely.
