British Public Outraged as Jeremy Corbyn WON’T be fined £200 for breaking Covid ‘Rule of Six’

Former Labour MP Jeremy Corbyn WON’T be fined £200 for breaking the COVID ‘Rule of Six’ despite being caught on camera at a dinner party for nine.

It has been revealed that Jeremy Corbyn will not be fined €224 (£200) after all as he broke the ‘Rule of Six’ at a dinner held to remember the late Occupy Wall Street organiser David Graeber earlier this week.

The former Labour leader, 71 and his wife Laura Alvarez, 51, joined Mr Graeber’s widow, the artist Nika Dubrovsky, for the ‘remembrance’ meal. Mr Corbyn and his wife were pictured at the dinner alongside seven other people, breaking the current rules on gatherings. He later apologised but many people were saying ‘too little too late’ and complained he set a ‘very example’ to the British public.

However, Scotland Yard has confirmed the former Labour leader will not be fined, sparking outrage, especially on social media. A police spokesman revealed that police will not retrospectively enforce coronavirus laws.  Apparently, police do not issue fines retrospectively for breaches of coronavirus legislation to allow people the chance to listen to and follow advice.

It comes as allies of Mr Corbyn began a hunt for the ‘spy in the camp’ who leaked the photo of the dinner to the media. Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s father Stanley, who was caught in newsagents without a face mask on this week, will also not be fined under the same conditions.

Trevor Price on Facebook wrote:

This week alone …….
“Corbyn gets caught out breaking the rules of having too many at his dinner party ( In fairness Diane Abbot May have done the invitation numbers) Meanwhile, the politicians go about ruining people’s businesses and lives telling us we can’t see our families squabbling and making political points against each other.”
Jasmine Mickey said: Shame on you politicians! You are the one making rules and breaking them!
Mark Glenn Murphy said: Jeremy Corbyn at a dinner party of 9, The PM’s dad Stanley shopping without a mask and now SNP MP, Margaret Ferrier takes a train from London to Glasgow after testing positive for coronavirus. Over to you!

The pick of the bunch goes to Marc Hawkins, he wrote: “OMG, that’s disgraceful, one law for them and one law for us! How come they didn’t get fined? If you watch TV you will see hundreds of people getting fined all across the country!! I’m spitting feathers!!!. ”

Every single fine ever issued is issued retrospectively – you can’t issue them in advance. Feeblest police excuse ever.

If it was a party of nine, then nine people should be fined, period. Sadly, the rules only apply to those that vote them into power over others.
