THE Vélez-Málaga Town Hall has announced two contests to decorate balconies, windows and shop windows coinciding with the days on which the Real Feria de San Miguel 2020 was to be held.
The main objective is to involve the public in promoting the most unique traditions of the town, fill the streets with the typical joy of these dates and contribute to the promotion of local commerce.
Councillor, Lola Gámez, explained the details of the two types of competition; the first of them for balconies and windows and focuses on the decoration of these spaces with fair motifs, in homes throughout the municipality that have views of the public road.

As for the shop window decoration contest’, an initiative carried out in collaboration with the Velez-Malaga (ACEV) and Torre del Mar (ACET) Trade and Business Associations, encourages businesses to fill their windows with local produce. All those commercial establishments located in the municipality of Velez-Malaga may participate.
 
Those interested in participating in the contests should take a photograph of the decoration of the balcony, window or shop window, and send it to the official Facebook page of  ‘Vélez-Málaga se mueve’ together with entrant details and.
The photographs will also be displayed on the official Facebook of ‘Vélez-Málaga se mueve’ for the residents to vote on, from 10 p.m. on September 25 to 11 p.m. on September 29, 2020.
