An armed woman has been arrested by the US authorities because of reportedly sending poison ricin addressed to the White House for President Donald Trump.
The woman tried to enter the United States of America from Canada at a border crossing in New York, where officers found her armed and dangerous, already having a criminal background.
The law enforcement officials announced they had found a package that was tested twice for ricin, to prove the presence of poison. It comes from castor beans and if ingested it can cause internal bleeding, and damage to organs. If inhaled ricin can cause chest tightness, cough, severe respiratory problems and fever even causing fluid build-up in the lungs.
All letters, mail, and packages have to be checked out in different facilities from the White House for the safety of the President and anyone else in the White House. They are all out through drug testing, scans, and explosive tests.
Investigators that tested the envelope twice said they thought it came from Canada, they are now working with the FBI to dig deeper into the matter.
