This is more than a one horse town

RESIDENTS of the town of Weesp on the outskirts of Amsterdam thought that they were dreaming when a herd of 45 horses galloped through the town centre after a mistake was made and a gate was left open at a local riding school.

Normally, the horses are led from the stables to a nearby field by a member of staff but on this occasion although the gate was opened, the horses just wandered off by themselves.

They managed to navigate their way across a swing bridge and through traffic without any damage being done and after their trip to the town, they simply returned to the stables of their own accord, none the worse for their adventure.
