The open-air Torre Pacheco shopping centre will be fitted with new LED lighting along its walkways which will allow for more energy savings as well as offering greater lighting for the public.

THE Torre Pacheco City Council are carrying out works to improve public lighting on several streets with current lamps and other lighting being replaced with alternatives that work with white light LED technology.
The Councillor for Commerce and Public Roads, Yolanda Castaño, explained that the new lighting represents energy savings whilst offering greater lighting.
This action has a total budget of €40,528, thanks to the subsidy of €25,000 from the General Directorate of Commerce and the rest of the amount contributed by the Torre Pacheco City Council.
Castaño was keen to point out these new rejuvenation plans would also serve to “reactivate the shopping centre, making it more attractive for your walk and safer for your shopping”.
