Two Italian mountain climbers ascending Mont Blanc are reported to have died on Wednesday.
The two climbers from the city of Genoa were on the Kuffner Crest, which lies on the French side of the mountain, when fell around 200 metres after they likely became disoriented due to bad weather.
The men, aged 56 and 57, were found by gendarmes tightly bound together. It is thought that one man fell, pulling the other with him.
