BETTER CONNECTION: Transport ministry to build a new Trinquet slip road Photo credit: Benidorm town hall

Trinquet slip road returns in Benidorm after SPAIN’S Ministry of Public Works and Transport confirmed that it will provide a €338,000 connection between the N-332 and Benidorm’s Trinquet area.
It was “very good news” declared Benidorm’s mayor Toni Perez on the day the announcement appeared in the Official State Bulletin (BOE).
The Ministry, responsible for country’s main roads, will create a joining lane that links Assagador de la Barina with the N-332 for traffic travelling in the direction of Valencia.
The Ministry decided to eliminate the existing road slip road between the Trinquet stadium and the main road in September 2015, obliging drivers to make a three-kilometre detour, Perez said.
The town hall had been fighting ever since to reinstate the connection which would improve mobility for the entire Huerta neighbourhood, the mayor added.
