Liz Hurley’s ex, Filmmaker Steve Bing, has committed suicide by jumping to his death from the 27th floor of his Los Angeles apartment.

Although the exact reason for his suicide has not been confirmed close sources in LA say that he was very depressed during the lockdown and couldn’t take any more isolation.

Former president Bill Clinton, a friend of the filmmaker, appeared to confirm the news, saying “he had a big heart, and he was willing to do anything he could for the people and causes he believed in.”

Bing was known for his work on movies including Kangaroo Jack, which he co-wrote, and for financing films including The Polar Express, starring Tom Hanks. He was also the father to Liz Hurley’s 18-year-old son, Damian. He had famously denied Damian was his son years ago, but a DNA test proved otherwise. He also had a daughter with the former professional tennis player Lisa Bonder.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed this morning that it was investigating the death of a man in his 50s in the Century City area of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles County coroner said a man was pronounced dead at the scene at 1.10pm local time on Monday.
