DENIA CASTLE: Seagulls took over during lockdown credit: Joanbanjo
PLANS to reopen Denia castle to the public on June 15 have been delayed, the town hall explained. This been put back to June 26 owing to the weeds that grew unchecked while the castle was closed during lockdown. These are now being removed, but there is also an abundance of seagull droppings which require “intensive” cleaning, especially on handrails and information panels. Work is progressing, municipal sources said, but will take until June 26, municipal sources said.
