Angry ex torches former girlfriend’s home on Spain’s Costa Almeria

A 45-YEAR-OLD man is under arrest for torching his former girlfriend’s home in what is effectively a shanty town on the outskirts of Almeria City in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
She suffered minor injuries in the fire.
Police tracked down and detained the suspect about three kilometres away from the burning shack in the La Goleta area in the provincial capital’s Almadrabillas park.
There was a restraining order in place against the 45-year-old prohibiting him from going near his ex or from contacting her.
As well as a charge for gender-based violence, the authorities have also charged him with breaching order.
