Benitachell Bowls Club boosts the food bank coffers

Benitachell Bowls Club has donated €500 to the town’s food bank which will be put towards buying essential basics for the most disadvantaged families.

IF this crisis has demonstrated anything, it is the great spirit of solidarity of the citizens, said Càritas Parroquial, which manages the food bank, after being presented with the contribution by bowls club president, Maria Morawiec.
Benitachell Bowls Club was founded in 1988 with around 150 members. Over the last 30 years it has been consolidated and currently has 200 members, including regular, annual and temporary members.
Along with sporting activity, they also carry out important social work.
