99-YEAR-OLD WWII army veteran Captain Tom Moore has vowed to keep going after raising more than £10 million to help the NHS in the fight against Covid-19.
His original target was £1,000 when he pledged to walk 100 laps of his Bedfordshire garden with the aid of a frame.
Around half a million people have donated to his fundraising page set up last week in aid of NHS Charities Together.
Capt Moore wanted to thank the NHS after treating him for cancer and a broken hip.
His challenge is to walk 100 laps of the 25-metre route around his home in Marston Moretaine before his 100th birthday at the end of the month.
