A mum was advised about the dangers of spreading the deadly coronavirus after her child was caught playing in the play area of a Black Country park by police.
West Midlands Police said the woman – who has not been named – was spoken to following the incident in Birmingham, on Tuesday, March 31.
Another parent was spoken to the day before about the same situation, a spokesman for the force revealed.
Kate Heatley, PCSO for Sandwell and Oldbury, has since issued a warning and urged residents to stay at home.
She said: “Today, I have had to advise a lady about letting her child use the play area in Langley Park.
“This follows me having to advise another parent only yesterday.
“Please take Government advise seriously and stay away from play equipment. The virus can easily spread, thus infecting other, possibly highly vulnerable, people.”
She added: “I appreciate it can be difficult with young children but the health of our residents must be prioritised.
“Please, unless absolutely essential, stay at home where possible and stay safe.
“If we all work together, we can beat this virus together, hopefully in time for summer…..”
