Spain’s Health Ministry has confirmed that 150 more people died from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 491. It also reports that 2,000+ more people are now infected with the disease, compared to yesterday, bringing the new total to more than 11,178. Madrid remains the city with the most cases, rising to 4,871
We can expect the number of cases to increase, “at least for the next 10-11 days, if not more”, stated Fernando Simón, Director of the Center for Coordination of Health Alerts and Emergencies of the Ministry of Health, today.
He also confirmed that there are now also 450 health professionals across the country who are now also affected with the Coronavirus. “However, we can win this war against the Coronavirus, if we all collaborate,” added Simón.
