Events include speeches, concerts, exhibitions and workshops, to encourage equality between men and women, according to Fuengirola’s Councillor for Equality Rocío Rodríguez.

“The local department has worked all year to create several events, most of which are free, to help raise awareness about gender equality, promote women’s empowerment, close the gender wage gap, and much more,” she adds.
