THE Amigos de Make A Smile (ADMAS) charity shop welcomed children from the CEIP San Vicente Ferrer School (Teulada) for the second time last week.

The pupils, aged between four and five years old, each brought a pre-loved item to donate for sale to raise funds for disadvantaged youngsters in local care homes.

The donated items are all marked with a special code so the class can be told how much is raised from their donations. The last donations raised an impressive €68.

¨It’s a really important part of what we do at Make A Smile, getting children to help less privileged children.” said Barbara Carrier, Vice President of the charity.

“We hope to see much more of the children here and hopefully other classes from other schools will participate in this project in the future. ¨

The Amigos de Make A Smile charity shop is situated at the bottom of the dual carriageway in Teulada. Donations of good quality bric a brac, clothes and household items are always welcome. If you would like to join the team by volunteering a few hours a week, call Barbara on 634 307 385. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 10am to 1pm.
