NOT only does the Marenostrum Festival bring some of the best entertainers from Spain and the international music scene into the town, it also generates large amounts of income for local businesses with the number of visitors attracted.

An added bonus is that it needs an army of workers who are recruited locally to undertake a number of different roles including administrators, porters, hostesses, waiters preferably with experience.

There is no age barrier to apply but preference will be given to those who are registered as residents in the town.

The minimum period of contract will be four months from May until August and it is possible that those who take part may become eligible for full time positions.

Interviews will take place at the council offices in Los Boliches on March 16 and 17 provided that interested parties have registered in advance with the Employment department of the council.

Fuengirola is committed to finding work for local residents and in addition to these temporary positions, 35 local firms have placed staff wanted details on www.empleo.fuengirola.es, the council web site.
