The exhibition hall of the Convent of San Francisco de Vélez-Málaga hosts a new exhibition entitled Dimensión Mitológica (Mythological Dimension), by the artist of Vélez-Málaga Álvaro Manén Ranea. The exhibition is composed of 26 large works, made in acrylic on wood, represented in two sections.
The Councillor for Culture, Cynthia García, visited the exhibition accompanied by the author and highlighted the quality of the exhibitions that host the different spaces of the city, “also valuing our local artists and enhancing our cultural heritage, fundamental basis to consolidate Vélez-Málaga as City of Thought and Culture “.
The exhibition is divided into two lines of work, separated into the two rooms that make up the space. The first room has 14 paintings on Hellenic mythology, while in the second room there are 12 paintings of 120 x 120 centimetres, centred on the lines and geometric shapes, joining the abstract and figurative style, always present in the work of Manén.
The Mythological Dimension exhibition opened on Tuesday, February 25 at 8:00 pm and can be visited from Monday to Friday, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. In addition, on Saturdays it will remain open from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The exhibition can be visited for free until next March 25.
