Airbus has announced it is undergoing “restructuring” after the company has made financial losses, and they will cut a total of 2,362 jobs.
Airbus has said there will be 630 jobs cut in Spain, 829 in Germany, 404 in France, 357 in Britain and a further 142 jobs across other countries. The decision for the job cuts is down to “flat space market and postponed contracts on the defence side”.
Airbus Defence and Space, which makes everything from fighter planes and drones to satellites, employs 34,000 staff overall.
Airbus has said: “Airbus Defence and Space will provide updates on its plans and continues a constructive dialogue with employee representatives.
