CULTURE councillor Aurora Serrat accepted on behalf of Altea’s town hall, an award recognising the Costa Blanca municipality’s cultural and environmental heritage. The award, presented at the Beneficencia Palace in Valencia City, came from Archival, an organisation that promotes and encourages the recovery of the historic quarters belonging to Spain’s towns and cities. “The town hall and all of the local population have the common objective of ensuring that Altea is recognised for conserving its heritage and the environment,” Serrat said as she accepted the award, while stressing the contribution made by local groups and individuals.
