Sunshine and spring flowers for Costa Almeria Hash House Harriers Lubrin meet

ALL SET: Hashers assemble before setting out for an uphill run or a leisurely walk CREDIT: Helen Llewellyn

IT was blue skies and sunshine for the Indalo Hash House Harriers’ Lubrin meet this month.
Around 20 hashers assembled at a village bar, welcoming several newcomers and some returners, notably Doggy, Sprout and Slippery Fingers.
One thing you can always rely on with a Lubrin hash is hills, so the six runners took a deep breath and set off to follow the devious trail laid by the Hares Baldy Locks and PT.
Meanwhile the walking hashers were led off by Hare Two Hats for a very pleasant and quite leisurely walk in the surrounding countryside.
The almond blossom was out, and the spring flowers were starting. Wild rocket covered the fields. The walkers progressed quite well, until they realised two of them were missing. Apparently, they had stopped to photograph an orchid, and when they looked up the rest of the group were out of sight.
Needless to say, when the ‘down downs’ were given, they got the one about the ‘game of 20 toes’.
Then it was back to the village bar for the group to enjoy a well-earned paella.
