Britain faces another battering as Storm Dennis barrels towards the UK sparking “danger to life” warnings this weekend.
As Storm Ciara slowly sweeps across the Uk, Britain is bracing for more bad weather this weekend, with forecasters warning that Storm Dennis could arrive any time soon.
Met Office meteorologists have confirmed that there will be strong gusts across the UK, with a yellow weather warning in place on Saturday: ‘Storm Dennis will bring very strong winds and potential for disruption to many parts of England and Wales at the weekend. Gusts of 50mph are expected widely inland, with around 60mph in places.”
It comes after 20,000 homes were left without power and cities like York were flooded by Storm Ciara on Sunday.
A man in his sixties has become the second person to be killed during the storm after being struck by a falling tree. The dog walker was hit by the tree in Black Wood in Woolton, Liverpool, on Tuesday.
