THE Equality delegate of the Town Council of Ronda, Cristina Durán, has presented a new initiative to raise awareness about the problem of gender violence. Signs have been placed in several parts of the city, similar to those of traffic regulation, that portray a forbidden signal with a heart shape broken in two and with the message

“NO VIOLENCIA MACHISTA”.  Durán has said that it is a sign full of symbolism that has been placed in the heart of the town to make this social scourge visible, within the need to promote prevention.

The signs are part of a campaign created by the Provincial Council of Malaga with the first sign located at the crossroads of Calle Espinel with Calle Seville.

Along with Durán, Traffic delegate, Juan Carlos Domínguez, has shown the support of this department for the campaign against sexist violence announcing that, to this signal, others will be added in Ronda to further raise awareness of this social problem.
