THE City Council of Llucmajor in Spain’s Mallorca have announced that from Saturday, February 15, there will be several changes to the Operation of Parking Regulation (ORA) system.
In aim of reducing the cost to residents and visitors when parking in the municipality, the City Council will stop charging in any ORA payment zones on Sundays.
In addition, they will expand the ORA zones to allow vehicles to move with more ease in Llucmajor with the implementation of 102 new regulated parking spaces on the streets, specifically on Calle del Valle (48), Calle de Buenos Aires (15), Calle de Jaume I (15), Calle de la Estrella (2), Calle de la Fuente (13), Calle de la Feria (1) and Calle Esperanza (8).
There will also be a reorganisation of restricted circulation zones (ACIRE) in a bid to improve traffic flows and a move which has been praised by Mayor Éric Jareño.
