Swallowed by a Sinkhole-The driver had a lucky escape
A CAR has been swallowed up whole by a huge sinkhole in Brentwood, Essex, after a ferocious 24-hour Storm Ciara onslaught.
The hole appeared in the early hours of this morning, with residents in the nearby area being asked to evacuate by emergency services.
Pictures from the scene on Hatch Road in Brentwood, Essex, show what appears to be a Toyota partially submerged. Emergency services were also at the scene as they tried to recover the vehicle. It is not thought that the driver of the vehicle was injured after the incident.
