GRANADELLA BEACH: Soon gets crowded in summer. Photo credit: Diego Delso
PIC TORT, a Costa Blanca winding road, leading from Granadella beach now has guardrails. This road was built 40 years ago for an urbanisation that never materialised and has been resurfaced for the first time in four decades, with parking spaces marked out on either side. Work cost €186,000 to complete. Pic Tort helps to alleviate parking chaos at Granadella in the summer now that the town hall closes the access road after all parking spaces are occupied. Once the barrier goes down visitors must use a town hall minibus or tourist train and Pic Tort allows drivers to leave the beach without meeting either.
