Curry House Chef Mohammed Abdul Shakur from East Ham London killed his wife and 2 children because she refused to help him with his visa.
The murder took place on the 1st of January 2007 after having a bust up with his wife over his immigration status in the UK.
After the blazing row the murderer had sex for the last time with his wife and then he smothered her with the beds pillow, he then turned on his children strangling the one daughter with a white sock and then smashing his other daughters skull and killing her with a severe fracture.
He then fled the UK for Bangladesh as soon as he could get the next flight.
He actually confessed when he got back to his home country as he told his sister, but he also told he if she informed on him he would kill her and her children as well.
He then went on the run again, this time as an illegal immigrant to India and he got away from authorities for several years, until eventually captured.
The judge today sentenced him to a 40 year jail term despite a not guilty plea at the outset.
