Canadian Potok Phillipe, being his Youtuber name thought it would be hilarious when onboard a flight to Jamaica to announce he had the deadly Coronavirus.
Real name James Potok was onboard a flight from Canada to Jamaica when he played the prank, forcing the Captain of the flight to turn back to Toronto airport where he was removed from the aircraft by an escort.
The prankster who is actually known as a social media star with over 35,000 Instagram followers was assessed by medical staff whilst passengers were both stranded in Canada and Jamaica before he was deemed symptom free.
Since then, no doubt for more social media publicity he apologised for his actions.
He told viewers that he had told the airline staff that he was just kidding but the Captain flew him back to Toronto to be offloaded from the plane.
He has now been charged by the police in Canada with mischief with trial set on March the 9th.
