THE Malaga Prosecutor’s Office has requested nine years in prison for a man who allegedly raped a woman on her first date after having been chatting and drinking beers in the Malaga town of Torremolinos.

During the trial, which has been held in the First Section of the Provincial Court of Malaga, the defendant has denied the charges and maintained that there was no sexual assault.

The events occurred on September 12, 2016, where it is alleged that the accused met the woman for a date and after chatting and drinking a few beers in a van they decided to get out for some air when the defendant, without warning, opened the back doors and “with the intention of satisfying his sexual appetite ” pushed the woman into the vehicle and raped her.

As a result of the actions, the woman was anxious with bronchial hyperreactivity and increased blood pressure, in addition to bruising on the right wrist.
