Prize for Altea poster design in Costa Blanca

SKYLINE, designed by Clara Rubio, was chosen as the official poster for Altea’s 200 Millas A2 Winter Regatta. Clara, a student at the Miguel Hernandez University’s Art department which is based in Altea, received the €500 first prize for her design, with €100 for runner-up Maria Vicente. This year saw the fourth edition of the Official Poster Competition with a jury that included two art department teachers, Altea’s culture councillor and the vice-president and communications officer from Altea’s Club Nautico, which organises the regatta.
The 34th edition of the 200 Millas A2 regatta will be held on February 28th, 29th and March 1st, and, as it does each year, will cover the 200 sea miles (370.5 kilometres) of the Altea-Ibiza-Altea round journey. Held at a time of the year when participants face harsh weather conditions, the race is an increasingly important date on the national sailing calendar as well as a classifying heat for the Copa de España de Cruceros A2 Spanish championships.
