The World Health Organization Western Pacific has offered some questions and answers to try and clarify some of the hoaxes, rumours, and misinformation, which has spread since the outbreak of the coronavirus.

To date the death toll in China from the deadly coronavirus outbreak that originated in the central city of Wuhan, rose to at least 361 on Monday, as the Philippines became the first country outside China to confirm a death from the infection.

So one main concern that has been brought up several times is in regards to the spread of the disease via letters or packages from China, and if it is safe to receive packages from China.

As Euro Weekly News understands people receiving packages from China are not at risk of contracting the coronavirus. According to previous tests, the World Health Organization Western Pacific explains that the coronavirus does not survive long in objects such as letters or parcels.
