A British tourist has died after he struck a barrier after skiing on holiday in the French Alps according to authorities.
The 26 year old who has not been named, was apparently on a marked ski path in the resort of Deux Alpes when he hit the obstacle on the edge of the runway. There are sadly no witnesses to the death according to Patrick Poirot of High Mountain Gendarmerie, and has said there will be an investigation. He said: ‘The investigation is underway to understand the circumstances of this accident for which there is no witness.
