TO honour one of the island’s most important exports, the annual Flor d’Ametller fair was held in Son Son Servera in Spain’s Mallorca over the weekend. Welcoming almost 1,000 visitors, the event paid homage to almonds in Cases de ca s’Hereu where delightful varieties of the nut were on offer at 46 market stalls. Now in its 11th edition, guests were able to taste samples of locally harvested almonds, browse products made with its wood and gain an insight into its farming history. 1,000 people attended the annual Flor d’Ametller fair.CREDIT: Son Servera City Council To complement the lively atmosphere under the sunny skies, the Sa Revetla folk group entertained the crowd with traditional dance and music.
