Man shot by police after a number of people believed stabbed in “terror-related” incident in Streatham, south London
Several people have been stabbed in a terror attack, where Armed police have been called to the incident that has taken place on a high street in South London, outside a supermarket.
Metropolitan Police have taken to Twitter and said: ‘*INCIDENT* Please avoid the area while the emergency services deal with the incident in #Streatham.’
Witnesses on social media have said they heard three gun shots fired just after 14:00 BST on Sunday.
One person tweeted: “Something major happening in Streatham High Road. Armed police and roads closed off” while another said two were being treated by doctors.
parts of the road is now closed and buses are being diverted.
